Little do most of you know I have had this blog for 5+ years, but today, on Christmas, I have decided to completely make over my blog. This blog originated at a place for me to get out my thoughts, and share important experiences with my loved ones. Now I am transforming this blog into my journey to find “wellness.”

Recently I noticed how I was complaining constantly. It was so bad that every other sentence was a complaint. At first I thought the reason I was unhappy was solely due to my negative work environment, though quitting did help I realized in the weeks to come I still felt as though I was missing that zeal for life I once had. And, boy do I miss that. I started to make a list of all the things/activities I used to do that brought me so much joy:

  • Dancing
  • Going to coffee shops alone
  • Hiking
  • Photography
  • Journaling
  • Meditating
  • Going to church
  • Working out on my own
  • Jiu jitsu & Boxing
  • Road trips

As I made this list, I saw a pattern. All of these activities that brought me so much joy were something I needed to initiate myself. Everything on that list I needed to make time for myself, I needed to prioritize them. I also noticed that “watching netflix,” or “spending countless hours on social media” was not part of that list yet that is how I ended up spending most of my free time.

That is why I am starting this blog, this is my journey to wellness and learning to prioritize myself and everything that makes me happy. At the end of the day, if I am not full then I cannot pour into anyone else. I am searching to be happy, and to be full.
